Schemes of UGC and their implications

Supporting the developmental work in the College by the Grant from the University Grants Commission has been a dynamic phenomenon since eighties. Building construction, minor and major research projects, faculty improvement programmes, organization of seminars and conferences, books and journals, teaching equipments are the various items for which the U.G.C. has been granting.

Upliftment of SC, ST and minority sections of the society, PTAC, field work and remedial coaching are the other schemes for which the college has received a significant amount of grants in the various Five year plans.

The P.G. department of Economics, Urdu, Hindi and Chemistry have been developed with the financial assistance of U.G.C. in Xth plan, about Rs. 1 Crore had been received by the College from U.G.C
